Although we work hard to make our events free and accessible for fans, Chicago Doctor Who Meetup has expense which include twice yearly Meetup.com hosting fees, Britbox and Big Finish, as well as marketing and organizational expenses. If you would like to keep the meetup going (and not have to worry about our fundraising drives), we have some great suggestions. All funds raised are applied directly into Meetup expenses, and financial information is reported at the end of the year.
Share Our Information via Social Media - Think someone else might enjoy our events? Retweet, repost, and share our content! Helping us get the word out is the best way to ensure that our Doctor Who meetup reaches the widest possible audience!
Become a Patreon Sponsor - If you want to donate smaller amounts over a longer period of time, please consider becoming a monthly Patreon sponsor. Your monthly sponsorship covers a myriad of costs, including a subscription to Britbox, and helps us develop tools and resources. For under $2/month, you can help keep this group going (and we have some really cool incentives as well).
Donate via Ko-Fi or PayPal - If you can't support us on a monthly basis, but want to ensure our continued activity, consider a one-time donation via Ko-fi or PayPal.
If you can, please consider buying our organizer a coffee via his Ko-Fi link. .
Donate At A Meetup - If you attend one of our events and wish to donate, that's great! We will accept cash and credit card donations as well!
Volunteer - We have a lot of ground to cover in the Chicago area, and we could always use help/backup when it comes to running events. (Plus, more events mean more opportunities for Doctor Who fans to meet). And we can always use help on social media. Please contact us if you're interested.
